Celebrate World Food Day with TG’s eats

Posted on October 14, 2022

This Sunday 16th October will play host to one of the most exciting days of the month… World Food Day!

What better way to celebrate this magnificent occasion than by getting yourself down to Talbot Green to sample some of the world cuisine near you, from our variety of restaurants.

Explore Mexican eats at Taco Bell

Mexican food is definitely one of our favourites;its full of delicious spices, flavours, and textures, and a great way to grab a quick taste is at Taco Bell.

The Taco is one of the most quintessentially Mexican dishes – and as the name suggests, Taco Bell has a lot to offer in that department. This makes it the best way to start off the meal, our personal favourite is the Crunch Taco Supreme, full of seasoned beef or grilled chicken, and black beans along with salad and sour cream. Its everything you could want in a taco.

For your main, we can’t think of anything better than a big bad burrito. Taco Bell has so many Tex-Mex options to choose from, but our favourite is the Double Cheesy Black Bean Burrito, full of black beans, rice and nacho cheese, it’s delicious. Plus, it’s perfect for our veggie friends.

Finally, there is only one way to finish – and that’s Churros With Dip. These cinnamon sugar-covered delights are a sweet way to end your Mexican meal.

Experience a taste of Portugal with Nando’s

When you think of delicious Portuguese food, the first thing that springs to mind is obviously some tasty chicken from our favourites: Nando’s.

Nobody does flavour better, and there is something so exciting about being able to pick whatever flavour and spice you want. Take pride in your little flag, whether its Extra Hot or Lemon and Herb.

If you want to celebrate World Food Day by eating like the Portuguese, we would definitely recommend treating yourself to some Peri-Peri Chicken with Spicy Rice.

There is a whole world of sides to choose from at Nando’s, but some of our favourites are their delicious Peri-salted chips, tender long stem broccoli and the tasty macho peas.

The perfect way to finish off the meal is with a cheeky Naughty Nata, Nando’s take on the traditional Portuguese dessert, Pastel de Nata, a tasty tart with egg custard and cinnamon.

Enjoy the best of British with Marks and Spencer at Costa

It may be World Food Day, but we get it, not everyone likes to stray outside of their comfort zone. That’s okay, because when it comes to a slice of cake and a cup of tea, nobody does it better than the Brits!

That’s why the teaming up of M&S and Costa is the collaboration of dreams - combining our two favourite British icons. After a long day exploring at Talbot Green, your final treat should always be a sit down with a cuppa.

Our favourite classic British combo is definitely a pot of English Breakfast Tea and an M&S Best Ever Sausage Roll.

If you still don’t feel like you’ve satisfied your cravings for all things British, then why not pop into Marks & Spencer and grab yourself an M&S Gastro Pub Fish and Chips, with fish, chips and mushy peas, it’s the perfect way to end anyone’s World Food Day!
